MOSCOW and NORTHPORT, NY – February 11, 2002 – ABBYY Software House, a world leader in document recognition and linguistic technologies, and Quantum Art, a leading provider of content management and e-business solutions, announced a partnership to use and market each other’s technologies.
ABBYY will use Q-Publishing by Quantum Art to publish and administer the ABBYY company websites, www.abbyy.com and www.abbyy.ru, and will market Quantum Art solutions as well.
Quantum Art will offer the ABBYY Retrieval & Morphology 4.0 Engine (ARM) search technology in customer deployments. ARM provides both powerful search and search word inference (morphology) functionality, already proven in award-winning ABBYY products ABBYY Lingvo and ABBYY FineReader.
ABBYY ARM retrieval capabilities include full text indexing, full text search and fuzzy search. Morphology functions include spell checking and spelling suggestions for mis-spelt words, lemmatization (identification of a word’s correct root), paradigm generation (generation of all wordforms from any form of a word), inflection type detection for words not in dictionary, grammatical value detection for any wordform and creation of updateable user dictionaries.
“We look forward to offering our customers a best of breed solution, with proven ABBYY search technology enhancing our affordable and flexible content management solution, Q-Publishing 6.0,” commented Edward Shenderovich, VP of Strategic Development for Quantum Art.
ABBYY search technology will be available immediately in all Q-Publishing 6.0 products.
